Managing Networks for Service Delivery
The 6th IFIP/IEEE Distributed Autonomous Network Management Systems 2013 (DANMS 2013) workshop is part of a series of workshops dedicated to advances in network management and the applications of new management principles in network design. This year the DANMS 2013 will be held on 31 May 2013 at Ghent University, Belgium.
With the emergence of cloud computing, increasing IT capabilities and resources are provided as services, via the Internet for on-demand access at anywhere anytime. Networks provide the delivery platform for services and it is important for network operators to ensure the reliability of the delivery platform so that both service providers and consumers can trust and rely the network. Many aspects of cloud services including, large number of services, rapid evolvement of service implementations, virtualized infrastructures, a large number of users, lack of direct control of services, etc., make network operators face great challenges on network management for service delivery. DANMS’13 will focus on the technologies of fully or semi automated network management for assured service delivery.
The workshop aims to promote dissemination of new research results in the areas of service and network management in a distributed and autonomous fashion and encourage discussion and networking between researchers in this area, while exposing emerging challenges to the research community and to industrial players. Please visit the Call for Papers page for more details on the topics of interest.
A best paper will be awarded by the TPC among all the submissions. A prize for the best paper is sponsored by Ericsson.
